  • 明治時代の人々和服と洋服をちぐはぐに混ぜた着こなしから。融通無碍な和を生み出す心。衣服のCreole。 Creoleとは言語、文化などの様々な人間社会的な要素の混交現象のこと。和装と洋装のそれぞれの特徴を混合させ、衣服のCreoleを現す。

  • Creole
  • In Meiji era, Japanese people incongruously mixed western and Japanese clothing and showed their particular fashion sense. In other words, they had a versatile and flexible sense of fashion to create harmony. I would like to call this “Clothes of Creole.”
  • Creole is a phenomenon caused by mixing various elements in human societies including languages and cultures. My aim is to show “Clothes of Creole” by mixing some features of the Western style dresses with some of the Japanese style clothes.
